The panels have been put together and they have been hinged. Earlier this week we painted the frame stock with black acrylic enamel so we would be ready to frame the screens today.
The framing was measured and then cut with a miter saw into the proper lengths for each side of the panels.
Before we attach the frames they are measured and pre-drilled to prevent the wood from splitting and help us put the nails in straight.
The long sides are attached first.
Here I am with a finished screen. I still need to do a little paint touch up on the hinges and the frame where the nails went in, I will probably also add metal corners and nail covers to complete the screen.
