Mountain Rain

This is a very large tapestry and it was one of the first in which I began to use thinner colored strips of paper to add definition and atmosphere. The main motif is woven with bold inch-wide strips in metallic silver. Open areas of the design are filled with the layered colord strips to separate mountain from pine tree and river. Silver clouds overhead are dropping squared snowflakes.

Size is approximately 50" tall by 50"wide.
