Ruby and Natural Diamond Necklace and Earrings

The necklace and earrings are made with natural stones on 14Kt gold wire. I hand-forged the gold trefoils, reflecting rings and closing hook for the necklace and earrings from 14 kt gold. The ruby briolettes have been heated as is the practice for almost all stones these days. The ruby beads were hand made in India. It is 15 3/4" long (40cm).

The large briolette weighs 4.25cts (11.8mm x 6mm) the others, 2.7, 2.8, 2.4, 2.6 respectively for a total of about 14.55 carats. The ruby beads are in trios on 14kt gold wire with approximately 10 carats of white and platinum colored natural diamond beads.

The briolettes on the earrings weigh approximately 18.4 cts total weight with the center briolettes weighing about 3.75cts (11.5mm x 6.3mm) each. The secure lever back ear wires are made of 14 kt gold. They are 2 7/8" long (72mm).
