The Series Number determines the cost of each sheet of Sage's Papers.

The second part of each pattern number names the type of gilding on the sheet and that is part of the Series Number's value.

For example, you might want to change the gilding in pattern 161-G2 ( a series 5 paper) from flakes, G2, to ribbons which is G5 (add 1 to the Series Number making it a series 6 paper) or eliminate the gilding all together, changing it to G0 (Subrtact 1 from the Series Number which makes it a series 4 paper). The chart below will show you how to change the Series Number when you change the gilding.
