While the final sides were drying we painted the framing with acrylic enamel.

Once the panels were dry, we began to add detailling. We added strips of gold and silver paper to bring out the designs and give the panels more presence.

The strips of paper are first cut to fit then glued and rubbed down on the panel's surface.

One set was trimmed with wide strips of marbelled paper.

The panels are ready to have the hinges built-on.
